Early Access information

During private Beta, CanadaPostRefunds may collect your name, business name, business email, province or territory, edition interest and optional survey responses so we can operate the verified Early Access list, understand prospective customer needs and contact you about Beta or release access.

Waitlist anti-abuse records use one-way keyed hashes of the request IP address and browser user-agent rather than storing those raw values in the waitlist table.

The signup form asks for consent to receive Early Access, Beta invitation and release emails. Each Early Access email includes an unsubscribe mechanism, and unsubscribe requests are recorded in the waitlist database.

Email verification

Early Access email addresses are verified before they are counted on the public waitlist. Verification links are time-limited.

Account information

CanadaPostRefunds may collect account information such as name, company name and email address to provide account access, support and subscription management. For PRO checkout, CanadaPostRefunds also stores the Canadian billing address, province and postal code used to calculate applicable sales taxes and maintain payment records.

Passwords

Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes and are not stored as readable text.

Payments

Recurring PRO payments are processed by PayPal when paid subscriptions are enabled. CanadaPostRefunds stores subscription and tax records needed for billing and accounting, but does not store full payment card numbers in its MySQL database.

Software access

The desktop application may send an account authentication token to the CanadaPostRefunds server to verify whether a PRO subscription is active.
